Effective Monday, September 14, 2015, I will be the new Reference Librarian for the McComb Public Library. I will still be handling any Genealogy requests and maintain this blog and my Facebook page as I am able.

Historical Newspapers

New Additions to Chronicling America Historical Newspapers:

Access here:  Chronicling America - Mississippi

New Newspapers were added to that site for:
ABERDEEN, CORINTH, GREENSBORO, HOUSTON, DEKALB, PASS CHRISTIAN, SARDIS, and VICKSBURG

Also, one issue of Liberty's Southern Herald from 1866 has been added, and other newspapers on the site have had more issues added.

The microfilm machine is repaired! That was fast. I am so happy someone was able to come right over and work on it.

We Interrupt This Program...

Unfortunately, the microfilm machine here is out of order. A service call is being placed and hopefully someone can come soon and repair it. I'll post again once it is fixed. Apologies for the inconvenience.
